Saturday, May 14th is our next scheduled meeting at 9:30 a.m. at Barbagallo’s (on E Malloy Rd). Our meetings are scheduled for the odd months (Jan, Mar, May, Sept, Nov) the Saturday before the Teamster’s Local 317 Meetings.
Note: Our meeting place has changed to Barbagallo’s.
Saturday, May 21st will be our ‘7th Annual Mixed Clambake’. It will be held at Hinerwadel’s Grove on W. Taft Road in North Syracuse. The bake is being held from 1 to 5 p.m. Cost is only $35 per person. Tell your friends and relations, it’s open to anyone. Tickets are available by calling any officer, or seller in the UPS buildings. Don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of this really great clambake. A good time is the order of the days with many door prizes and games. Circle this date on your calendars.
Saturday, November 5th will be our next ‘Retirement Dinner’ at Barbagallo’s Restaurant. We’re expecting a large number of retirees who will be honored. Mark your calendar for this great event. Our fall newsletter will have further details on this event.
We lost a few members due to illness and death. Please call any board member if you know about anyone. We try to stay on top of this may they rest in peace.
Some of the Silver Club retirees have helped out with various community activities and that’s a plus. Keep it up! We can always use more volunteers. Call any board member for information about our next project. Thanks to all who have donated time already.
