(1) The Silver Club will honor any Syracuse UPS retiree who is eligible to draw a pension from the Teamster's Pension Fund and is a member in good standing with Teamster's Local 317.

(2) Part & Full time employees with ten ( 10 ) years of service are eligible to join the Silver Club.

(3) An retired employee with less then ( 10 ) years of service is also eligible to join the Silver Club after retirement.

(4) Meetings will be held on the odd numbered months (1) Jan, (3) March,

(5) May etc. except during the summer, unless called by the president. Meeting will be held on the Saturday before regular scheduled Local 317 meetings.

(5) Officers will serve for two ( 2 ) years of starting in 2000. If an officer dies, or leaves the area, the president will appoint a replacement until the next election. ( Members will be properly notified at least one meeting prior to an upcoming election.

( 6 ) At least one ( 1 ) officer on the board must be currently employed by UPS working in the Syracuse Building. If that officer retires, dies or leaves the area, an election will be held at the next meeting to fill the vacated seat. ( No exceptions )

( 7 ) If a member dies, the Board will send a donation of flowers or contribution to stipulated chaeity not to exceed $35.00 example: Heart Fund.

( 8 ) A retiree will be honored at the next scheduled retirement dinner with a cut off retirement date of October 1 st. ( No exceptions )

( 9 ) Membership fee is $12.00 - one time non-refundable fee.

(10) If in the event the Silver Club is dissoved, the trasurer will donate all remaining money to a charity decided by the members at the last meeting. The decision is there to be absolutely no dividing of the treasury amongst members in good standing. The charity is to be a relable one, such as United Way, Hart Fund, ect.

( 11 ) These By Laws can be updated the year the election of officers is held.

(12) Members will be properly notified at least one meeting prior to election. These Bylaws were voted on and approved at the meeting of January 29, 2000
